In Ventura County, there were 488 alcohol-involved collisions with 644 victims injured and 24 deaths in one year alone.

In response, a collaboration -- that includes our cities, county, police, non-profit organizations, volunteers, businesses and others -- have taken action to reduce alcohol related problems, including injuries, fatal crashes, fights, and other disturbances.

The Be the DD and Win campaign is part of this effort, acknowledging Designated Drivers in Ventura and Thousand Oaks. It’s taken hold of the bar scene in an incredible way. The campaign includes the popular Prize Posse, a group of fun and exciting young people who take to the streets to reward Designated Drivers with prizes and swag, all the while delivering the message that it is cool to Be the DD.
