About Straight Up Reality Parties Many adults feel drinking is a rite of passage and think teen drinking and parties are the same as when they were young. Straight Up youth want parents to face the current realities and learn why and how we need adults to help change these dangerous social norms in Ventura County. Teen actors will portray scenes from a drinking party and voice the concerns expressed by local teens and young adults about trends in youth alcohol use. After each performance or tour we will facilitate community dialogue with a panel to answer questions and discuss ideas for change. View the Reality Party Promo Video

Parents This event is scheduled for people and organizations that are considering sponsoring, organizing or encouraging a future Reality Party event in their own community. Tours start at 3pm and run every half hour. A discussion session will follow each 25-minute tour. Adults only, please. Address will be given upon confirmation of your tour time. Volunteer opportunities! Straight Up is a great way for young people ages 15-25 to get community service hours and recommendations for college and job applications. You'll have the chance to develop leadership and work skills and share your talents with others.
