“Reality
Party for Parents”on Stage!
Our Straight
Up Ensemble Troupe has produced a new STAGE VERSION of our
“Reality Party for Parents”. The house tours have had a powerful
impact on the approximately 400 parents that attended the
“parties” in Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Oak Park and Simi Valley.
Now community members are urging us to find ways to reach
even more parents with this important message.
12 teens
and young adults from around Ventura County gave a preview
performance of the new adaptation for stage at an event hosted
by Adolfo Camarillo High School PTSA on October 23rd. The
performance was followed by an informative panel discussion
and question and answer session between parents, law enforcement
and other community leaders.
Senior Deputy Joe Evans of the Thousand Oaks Police Department,
who has attended both the house tours and the stage version
of the “Reality Party for Parents,” has this to say:
“This
program is a must see for every parent of school age children.
The parties that our children experience today are a far
cry from the friendly neighborhood parties that we experienced
in our day. To understand the pressures that our children
face today at parties, you must experience this type of
party for yourself. This program will give you just that
opportunity.”
