
"REALITY PARTY for PARENTS" -- Three events in April
In
connection with Alcohol
Awareness month, Straight Up youth will expose the local
culture of underage and binge drinking through two live stage
presentations and a Reality Party house tour event.
Our
goal is to promote parent understanding of the problems, foster
relevant parent/teen dialogue about these issues, and to promote
family and community policies that help keep teens safe. Each
performance will be followed by community discussion. These
events are for adults.

Party Tours through
an Ojai home
Parents
and other adults will have the opportunity to take a tour
through an Ojai home set up to portray a teen drinking party.
Straight Up youth will reinact scenarios from a teen party,
and will voice the concerns that local teens and young adults
have expressed about the current culture of underage and binge
drinking. This event is sponsored by the Ojai
S.A.F.E. Coalition.
The tours
start every half hour between 3pm and 8pm. Join us for community
discussion after your 25-minute tour. Adults only.

Opportunities for youth
Teens and young adults ages 15 - 25 can earn community service hours through participation in Straight Up Reality Party events. This is a fun way to make a positive difference in your community!
